Finding Ray was a godsend. I needed a new look and outlook when I happened up the steps to his oasis above the urban madness. There, I was transformed with a totally new color and cut; something tailored especially for me (you will NOT see yourself coming and going). I left feeling revitalized and HOT!

Awesome Cut & Style!

I JUST left his salon, and all I can say is: WOW. The atmosphere: cool, rock & roll-y/harley davidson/tatoo-ish. The other stylists: funny, nice, they all seem to get along really well, giving the place a fun, creative vibe. Me: I have curly hair (ringlets, but not tight little ringlets or super super curly hair) and am VERY picky about who touches it! I don't get my haircut more than once a year because I'm generally so freaked out by what some crazy stylist is going to do it. I went to Ray after reading that he knew about curly hair, and had gotten some positive reviews. Trust me, I was very nervous! But from the start he was warm, welcoming and fun. He looked at my hair, asked me some questions, looked at the pictures I had brought in and we talked about the style I was looking for. He explained what he was going to do with my hair step by step, BEFORE he did it. He really looked my hair over to see how it grew and for any cowlicks or super curly parts. He made sure he understood what I wanted which I definitely appreciated! Towards the end, and I cannot say this of ANY stylist I have gone to, I trusted his judgement. He suggested texturizing, and I told him to go ahead! It was a GREAT call! My hair is exactly how I wanted it, and the cut is both interesting but not too crazy (maybe next time!) He was very nice, very cool and really explained why he was doing each step. If I can say anything, it's be sure you communicate with your stylist! If they start to do something you don't like - SAY something! Don't just sit there! He asked before he cut, and I definitely appreciated that. I can't say enough positive things - really, the best haircut I have EVER recieved. I am so happy with his work! And for $75, WELL worth it!

I should add: I am not wearing my hair naturally curly - I am styling it curly. My cut is for that purpose, so be aware of how you want to wear your hair and communicate that to your stylist, whoever they are! 1 week later and I still LOVE the cut!

Not so much...

my friend had gone there for color and hair cut, and it turned out great ... :-)

so decided to go to Ray's assuming my hair would look as great as hers did. I asked my hair to be cut in a certain way, got some opinions & thoughts from him but sad to say i didn't get what i wanted. I may have expected a little too much from him, but I'm honestly disappointed in the result, and could've gone to any other hair salon for the cut I got.

It sure wasn't worth it and wouldn't recommend that place to anyone else.

I couldn't be happier with Ray's service. No one, including myself:), has ever put so much time and care into my hair. Ray will not let you leave unsatisfied and I would recommend Ray Roberts to anyone!

Get Ray to do your hair once and you will be hooked. I was looking to vamp up my style and found Ray on Citysearch. Sometimes I wonder about the reviews being truthful, but MAN!...Ray turned out to be even better than expected. Thank you Ray!!!!

Amazing

I walked in to Ray Roberts Salon 3 years ago. I was amazed at the way they made me feel and look. I will not let anyone else touch my curly hard to manage hair. Ray colored and cut my hair. Evertime I get my hair cut or colored everyone says how much they love my hair. I recommend going to this salon you will not be sorry.

I was amazed!

My color would fade in a week or so and I felt like I was constantly coloring my hair. Ray Roberts gave me amazing color that lasted. My hair felt full and healthy. I'm hooked!
