I recently went to get the "Marilyn Monroe" piercing at Body Electric. I found it through the Google search engine under, "Top piercing parlor in Los Angeles." Without a doubt, this is the BEST place to get a piercing. As soon as I walked in I was assisted and felt welcome. I was very nervous about the piercing and was sweating, my heart was pumping out of my chest, I was shaking, and just COMPLETELY overtaken with nerves. The owner, who was doing the piercing, immediately made me feel at ease and safe. He sterilized the needles and utensils when I got there opposed to before, so that I saw them being sterilized and knew that they were clean(for 8 minutes). Once in the chair, he was very precise and careful as to where the hole was going to be and making sure that the clamp on my face was exact. IT DIDN'T EVEN HURT!!!! He was extremely careful and calming. He was THE BEST. Also, I have a tattoo, and was asking him about getting other tattoos. He told me, "I only hire the best of the best. Not just anyone can work here at Body Electric." His artists were wonderful, his store was very well put together, and his jewelry was very "top-shelf". I refer any and EVERYone to Body Electric. You will be sure to have a great experience.

I've been into Body Electric a number of times and everytime have had great service! Everyone is very friendly and very helpful! I have bought many pierces of body jewelry from Body Electric as they have a very large selection and many custom pieces you can't find other places. James did a surface piercing on each of my wrists which I had already heard were heard to heal. The process was actually quick and not as painful as I would have expected. James is definately one of the most respected and professional body piercers in LA and Body Electric is a very clean and enjoyable environment. My wrist piercings lasted over 2 years and never had any problems! I had to take them out for work reasons but they left little to no scars either. James can do just about any proceedure and I would definately recommend Body Electric over any other piercing shop in LA. I have also gotten tattooed here a number of times and have always been happy with what I recieved!!

I recently got my monroe pierced by the amazing James at Body Electric. Scared, nervous, and a little unsure about getting a facial piercing James approached the situation like that of nothing less than a pro. He was very warm, friendly, and comforting making not only this piercing a breeze but also making him the ONLY piercer I will ever go to. Not only was James a dream to work with, but the staff is a blast and extremely professional. The location and shop itself had a relaxing vibe surrounded by great shopping. I highly recommend James to do any piercing or modification you have in mind he truly is one of the industry's best. He'll leave you walking out of the shop with a job well done and a huge smile every time. :)
Pros: Great location, staff, and atmosphere. Reasonable prices and excellent work.
Cons: none. honestly.

I just got my tongue pierced by james a few days ago. I was so nervous and completely freaking out. But James walked me through the whole process and made me feel really comfortable! The actual parlor was immaculately clean and sanitary. They clean and sterilize the tools right in front of you so you know for a fact that they are sterile. I would highly recommend Body Electric to anyone considering a tattoo or a piercing. I will definitely be going back!
Pros: great atmosphere, chill and professional staff, reasonably priced
Cons: not really any parking

Mike Jones, Mike Jones, MIKE JONES. The best tattoo artist I have ever met! Before discovering Body Electric, I had been a victim of some pretty tragic looking tattoos .... but now they've all been touched up by Mike and they look AMAZING. He puts in a lot of effort and care to give you what you want ... his artwork is so beautiful and realistic AND he's super nice (had a charming southern accent too)! Actually, everyone I met at the shop that day were really friendly and chill .... great atmosphere overall. I'll admit that at first I thought it was a little pricey and I was hesitant to have mine done but now I've realized that they were worth every penny ..... I actually miss the shop and I'm already thinking about when I can come back to get some more ink done! I'm just amazed from the experience I had with Mike doing my tattoos ... I sat for over 4 hours and it was practically painless and I was barely bleeding. My experiences from the other shops can be summarized by a lot of bleeding, pain, and scabbing. Now after only a few days, my tats are barely scabbing, still vibrant in color, and not even sore! So don't waste your time and money on any other tattoo/piercing parlor ... Body Electric is by far the #1 place to go!!
Pros: Great customer service, expert tattoo artists & piercers, friendliness, sanitariness

Just last weekend I made a trip to The Body Electric to have my Nape pierced by James. The staff is amazing, very friendly and nothing but professional. I was greeted by James who makes you feel completely comfortable with the process. He showed me different styles of jewelery and explained why they are the best to use. His advice really paid off and the piercing itself had very minimal pain and no bleeding, swelling of any sort. Now a week later my Nape is healing so well! No tension, tugging, or rejection. The placement is perfect, making every day movement unnoticeable to my piercing. I've never met a more knowledgeable piercer and would recommend everyone to the Body Electric for work. This was the 2nd piercing I've had done by James and would say it's my number one choice of shop in Los Angeles.
Pros: great advice, skillful, friendly, professional
Cons: none.

I had been planning on going to Body Electric since the beginning of the summer. I knew I was finally ready to get a helix piercing, and decided a few months ago to eyebrow pierced as well. Seeing as I'd only gotten my lobes pierced a few years ago, I was terrified. Waiting all summer to get the piercings didn't help much either. As soon as I saw James, though, I knew I was in good hands because of all the wonderful things I'd read about him, plus, you know he's a pro just by looking at him ;) My best friend was in the room with me while I had my piercings done and said she was more nervous than I was. I was really expecting at least one, if not both of them, to hurt like hell, but I was wrong. They were so quick I didn't have time to process any pain! I'm so glad I listened to all the reviews. I'd go here for anything.

I've been to many different Tattoo & Piercing shops, but none have compared to Body Electric. Their expertise, customer service, and professionalism is outstanding. I was greeted at the door and taken care of right away. Everyone in the shop was very friendly and I felt very comfortable. I went to get my ears gauged and James was my piercer. He took great care of me and I was impressed at how much time he spent in making sure my piercings would be symmetrical and exactly where I wanted them. Which is very important because no one wants to look foolish with one hole higher then the other hole. I'll definitly be back to Body Electric, in fact, I already want my holes stretched....so see you soon James!
Pros: Service, Expertise, Professionalism, Friendliness

I had two of my tattoos done at Body Electric. They were absolutely amazing both times. The first time I got a tattoo I was stupid enough to get my boyfriend's name. That relationship didn't last, but the tattoo did. I went back to Body Electric to get a cover up over the jerk's name and they told me that the best way to get a cover up was to first get the tattoo lightened through laser tattoo removal so that the old tattoo wouldn't be noticeable through the cover up. I was referred to Dr. TATTOFF to get the tattoo lightened. The staff at Dr. TATTOFF were great and the sessions didn't hurt that much. It only took a few treatments to lighten and now I have an awesome tattoo.
Pros: Artists know what they're doing, great advice
Cons: Didn't stop me from getting my bf's name tattooed on me

I just got back from getting my tongue pierced at Body Electric. I walked in, they had time for me and everyone was really nice and friendly. I was really apprehensive and worried about the pain, I asked a ton of questions and my piercer, James, was totally nice about answering everything. He didn't treat me like every other client and was patient with my fear. He talked me through it and everything went smoothly. After I felt dizzy, he got me water and made sure I was ok. I definitely will go back again, and my friend is already planning to get a tattoo there.
Pros: Nice people, clean place, open late
