Worst Salespeople EVER!!!
by bride2B at Citysearch
I recently went to Les Habitudes to buy a formal gown. While there were many dresses I was interested in trying on, the sales people had no interest in helping me. When I'm going to spend 3k on a special dress, I expect my shopping experience to reflect my investment. April does herself and the customer a big disservice. She does not care if you look good in the dress or even if you buy it. I have never had such a negative experience shopping and I'm from Beverly Hills! I hope the store manager reads this review and has a chat with the staff. Because after leaving the store, I wanted to shower off the bad vibe. Guess I'll have to spend my money somewhere else!
- Pros: Cool, original dresses
- Cons: terrible shopping experience
Wardrove Investment Buying Pieces You Will Keep Forever
by russea01 at Citysearch
I found Les Habitudes accidently on a shopping trip to L.A., exploring Robertson Blvd. I immediately fell in love with the store. The gowns are beautiful and the staff was very accomodating. I was not looking for a wedding gown, nor did I see any first off. I saw beautiful eveing gala attire and day wear that is well made, one-of-a-kind, and versatile. I have been to Les Habitudes four times and I have bought an item each time. I now have four pieces in my wardrobe, all of which are timeless and versatile. April, always helps me in selecting an item within my budget, and shows me many clever variations on how to wear a wardrobe piece. She also is creative in choosing accompanying pieces to allow me to see how to wear an item with exisitng closet items I have at home. We also always have fun trying on the very expensive clothing and she treats me as if I were a celebrity. I keep my purchases to my budget and conisder each piece a wardrobe investment. I have never been dissappointed. Each L.A. trip is not complete unless I visit Les Habitude AND I ALWAYS purchase one item. To date I have a wrap cashmere sweater, a linen blouse with a corset back, a beautiful "Grace Kelly" skirt I wear to weddings and most recently, a grey wrap skirt that April showed me how to wear at least six different ways. All the clothing is versatile, timeless and a statement. This is a must visit and ask for April.
- Pros: One-of-a-kind wardrobe investment purchases
- Cons: None
Great store for wedding and other eclectic romance clothing
by rubyrose88 at Citysearch
I have searched high and low for a wedding dress that is different, romantic, and feminine without looking like a typical bride and I have found the store that does it all and more!!!! I came so close to not going
to this store because of the poor reviews posted and I am glad that I did not heed to those opinions.
First of all I had a great experience in this store. It was the best out of all the other bridal stores I went to.
The sales staff really know what they are doing. The wedding section is all ready to go and you don't have
to order. I was used to trying on huge samples that were 5 sizes too big and dirty. Here, they have your
size, you can see how it will really look and if you need alterations they pin it on you A.S.A.P.
The sales staff is really nice and friendly and it's low stress. The range in price is good so you don't
have to go high end if you don't want to. I told my sales person what I wanted to spend and she listened
and kept me where I wanted to stay. I was shown all kinds of ways to wear the bustier and romantic
skirt I purchased for my wedding because I wanted to wear it after. They have beautiful leather jackets
and different designers I haven't seen before. All I can say is, check it out yourself and don't always
believe what you hear or read.
- Pros: unusual romantic, feminine clothing you won't find anywhere else
- Cons: looking for parking
The ethereal dresses in this boutique will bring out the romantic in anyone.

In Short
The hand-sewn one-of-a-kind dresses featured here are imported from England and Belgium, and they and the store evoke a sort of Merchant-Ivory-meets-Academy Awards vibe. Princesses can choose multi-layered, hand-embroidered lace dresses, while slinky babes can pour themselves into sexy, body-hugging gowns. Brides are taken care of with sublime white and ivory gowns and the greatest selection of ivory slippers to match. To cap off the royal look, it also sells jeweled tiaras.
Bride-To-Be

I walked in to this store with great expectations, after hearing from all of my friends how beautiful the dresses were. I was totally disappointed by the lack of customer care. When I tried to engage a salesperson to answer my questions and show me their bridal wear, she all but ignored me, and told me to look in their book. Once I saw that Halle Berry, Faith Hill and Roma Downey, among other celebs, were in there, I realized why I wasn't getting good service: I'm not famous. The salesperson summarily dismissed me, and I had to ask another one who seemed a tiny bit nicer to please show me dresses. I will never purchase anything from this store, and left feeling totally dissed.
- Pros: pretty beaded gowns
- Cons: , no parking, major snob-appeal
Total Disappointment
by skywang at Citysearch
After checking out the store's website, I was extremely excited to visit the actual store. Unfortunately, to my disappointment, from the moment I walked in to the time I left the store, not one of the many idle salespeople even acknowledged my existence. No wonder the store was completely empty on a bright sunny Saturday afternoon. Who the heck wants to spend thousands of dollars on mediocre "high end" clothing, when the staff makes you feel like it's a privilege to be in there?
