worst service ever.
by heej at Citysearch
I only shopped here once and will never shop here again.
The only reason I went to this store was to get seating for my living room fast. I would have just ordered on-line (somewhere else) if I was going to wait a couple months for my chairs.
The sales person told me that the chairs are in stock so I scheduled to get it delivered by the weekend. Two days later, someone from the factory calls me to let me know that the chairs I ordered are not in stock and I will have to wait 2 months to get it delivered. I called the store to cancel my purchase but somehow they can't find my order with my name and phone number. (I didn't have the order number at that time.) I didn't want to get into a fight so I just decided to wait.
After 2 months, I called them to get my furniture. (they never called me. I had to call them,) It turns out that I owe them 10 dollars. I didn't even bother to figure out what it is for so I just gave them a check. Now I'm just happy that i got my chairs and i don't have to deal with them anymore.
- Pros: ok price
- Cons: customer service is horrible
Blueprint Furniture makes me Red with anger
by glamgail at Citysearch
Over the years, I have shopped at Blueprint by default. I like contemporary decor and there has been a shrinking market in LA until recently. And since online furniture shopping is hardly easy, I stop at Blueprint. They carry all the obvious middle to upper strata of furniture lines and accessories; at least I think they do. Not once in all the years that I have shopped at Blueprint, alone or with friends, has one of their service people had the interest to offer help or answer a question, if asked. They are all clustered at the one service desk seemingly preoccupied with whatever orders were deemed acceptable by them to process. I have rarely seen a store who's sales policy runs from bored to rude to just condescending. Their air of smug superiority permeates the showroom so asking them any information re: prices, fabrics, construction is ridiculous. Without kidding, even asking them about a restroom is discouraged as if they simply never have the need to ever use a bathroom themselves. Bottom line: if one leaves less satisfied than when enters, what’s the point? Their prices are as high as their noses. And since there are no bargains, no help and all attitude, I’d rather return to online or one of the many new stores that dot the same neighborhood. Those new contemporary stores need to pay their rent and are eager to make your experience a good one. As for Blueprint, shop there only if you really love to be made a fool and put down at the same time. In that case, Blueprint would be happy to take your money as they show you the door on the way out.
- Pros: Good Location; decent parking
- Cons: They make 'customer service' to be an oxymoron.

good design

I went to Blueprint after going to Buttercup and room service. Why I bought at Blueprint was they had the best current design (for me sofas)and definitely the best prices. I like stores that have a continuity to their selection and not hodge podge. I thought Blueprint's was the best. I had a good salesman, Tony, who has a good eye and steered me to design/value. Delivery ok (2 hour window). Definitely recommend the store.
- Pros: fresh design, price, quality
- Cons: parking, crowded display in some areas
BLUEPRINT is a total disappointment
by evolplums at Citysearch
We have purchased more than a few items from this store and over the last year their prices have increased and their is no customer service to be found ! they are so happy for you to spend your money and have you wait for your furniture for a really, really long time. they said 2 weeks.....HA! Its been 3 months. It would be worth it if the money I gave them was growing interest while I wait. They don't call you either to tell you the delay, you must call them to find out when its arriving and then you are lucky if you get a straight answer. Good store gone BAD....seriously sad. I recommend that you don't waste your time.
cheap furniture that is difficult to assemble; HORRIBLE customer service
by sadielizz at Citysearch
BEWARE!!!!!! We purchased our sofa from blueprint and was told it would take 3 months to arrive - it took 4 months to arrive. We decided to pick up the couch ourselves. the only assembly was to attach the legs. What should have taken an hour, took 3 hours due to the crumby workmanship. The sinkers where the screws should be screwed into were covered with fabric, and when trying to screw in the screws fabric would become caught and prevent the screw from fully being screwed in. In some cases there were staples inside the sinkers preventing the screw from going in properly. Eventually one screw got so caught that when we removed it, the entire sinker came out from the plywood. So I called the customer service, Bill. No customer service skills, would be better suited as a tow truck driver or parking enforcer. He said that if we had the sofa delivered that they would cover the fix, but since we took it home ourselves it would cost $85 for someone to come out and fix it. This policy was not stated to us when we were asked if we wanted delivery. While Bill claims they back their product, clearly they don't. They don't believe the customer, they are rude and reactionary and won't work with you. It's almost as if they deal with this kind of problem often, hmmmmmm. (please see other blueprint reviews)
After we purchased our sofa and were waiting for delivery, I looked at previous reviews on citysearch and was hopeful we wouldn't have one of the horrible experiences. We did and we won't buy anything from them again. We will tell everyone we know how horrible they are when it comes to service after the sale. What would have been a $20 labor expense for them to fix one sinker and make 'customers for life', may now cost them more in furniture sales lost from us and our friends.
- Pros: pretty furniture
- Cons: customer service after the sale & workmanship
Great Priced Modern Furniture
by janedoe597 at Citysearch
I love the spiteful comments regarding Blueprint, #1 The furniture is kind of placed where they have room, but they have limited space on Beverly blvd. and I personally would rather have more to choose from then perfect aesthetics. But when it comes down to I did not see Blueprints true colors until 10 days ago I ordered a custom couch from them. They were great through the whole process and the couch was ready in 9 days in custom size and design, which was 5 months sooner than the more expensive BoConcept was. The couch is great and the service is worth returning for, if you can get there attention.
- Pros: Great Price, Great Design, Great turn around time.
- Cons: Parking is Terrible
best selection in LA

Hands down the best collection of modern design at it's price point in LA.
- Pros: style/price
- Cons: too much stuff
Oasis of incredible prices and merchadise ready to go!
by charchar1234 at Citysearch
I was in the market for a new sofa sectional. After trolling through the many beautiful furniture stores on Beverly, (Diva, Armani, Poliform, etc..) I found myself in as state of depression from sticker shock. I am not of the select few who can afford $15000 (kid you not!) on a single sofa from one of the stores mentioned. So my friend who is a set decorator (professional shopper) recommended Blueprint. She's been using them for years for her set rentals.
Their designs are fresh and modern. They had the sectional I was looking for on the floor. And I was pleasantly surprised by the price. ($1800, in leather!) It was in stock, so I was sitting on it at home 4 days latter. The service was helpful and pleasant, in the no pressure variety.
Will return for a coffee table.
Happy happy happy!
- Pros: PRICES! Great selection! No pressure sale staff. Pieces actually in stock.
- Cons: Some what victims of their popularity. The place was slammed on saturday.
Worst Customer Service--You Get what you pay for!
by sjoelle at Citysearch
Yes, the store has great knockoffs of Italian furniture that I otherwise couldn't afford. But you're getting what you pay for. My couch was scratched and off center and they've tried replacing it four times now but it still hasn't worked out! they also are very unhelpful in the store. I later heard about H.D. Buttercup, which is 1000 times better. Had I know about Buttercup before I would never have visited blueprint, and I suggest you don't either.
- Pros: Cheap
- Cons: Poor quality, bad service
