Don't bother
by dining27 at Citysearch
Tried it for the first time yesterday for lunch and wasn't impressed. My 2 friends and I stood at the front forever to be seated. The food was very average. Scenery was so much like a chain restaurant. I prefer something a little on the charming side. Il Piccolino up the street is much, much better if you ask me.
- Pros: variety on menu
- Cons: , ambiance
Decent, but overpriced
by DanFazio_Citysearch at Citysearch
I guess reasonable prices aren't to be expected in this neighborhood. There's a lot of interesting-looking stuff on Newsroom's menu, but most of it is overpriced.
The place does have a nice outdoor seating area, though.
Call me "Miss" NOT "Ma'am"
by clonis121 at Citysearch
I was looking forward to eating at the Newsroom since I heard great things about it. My experience was a huge dissapointment. The wait staff, especially the hostess, was extremely rude. I was
told by the hostess, in a very degrading manor, not to call her "Ma'am", but instead "Miss." Exuse me for trying to be polite. Snootiness must have been the special for the day.....
- Pros: Healthy, Inexpensive, Good Atmosphere
- Cons: Snooty Waitstaff, Parking, Tasteless food
