Unique little spot, with a lot of attitude.

For me you can't go wrong with value and variety, and this place has both! They have a great sushi tower that consists of tuna tartar and some yellowtail sashimi with a nice sauce. The Pad Thai is the bomb, and I absolutely love their Chilean Sea Bass. Another great thing, is you can sometimes spot a couple celebs there, so overall, its pretty sweet.
- Pros: Value & Variety
- Cons: Parking, Only one bathroom
Health-conscious, mish-mashed Asian fare in a reliable, if not quite Zen, hangout for the hip.

In Short
The loud kitchen and muffled disco music don't exactly lend themselves to the Zen theme--but crowds of fashionistas getting tofu fixes and dharma dudes taking gyoza breaks fit in fine. Though not entirely health-conscious, the Pan Asian menu has nutritious options. Minced chicken in lettuce cups provides a light start. Teriyaki Chilean sea bass is served in caramelized brown sauce with nut rice and edamame. Pan-fried tofu steak, dumplings, sushi, samosas and pad thai complete the menu.
Great Pad Thai

This place has some very unique asian dishes. It is a cute, little restuarant that serves delicious, yet good for you, food. I love the tofu steak dish and the pad thai is always good too.
- Cons: Parking
great little restaurant with consistently good food
by janicebarthelemy
This is a regular for my Husband and I. Although it is a very tiny place, we usually don't have to wait long for a table, be prepared to hear all the diners around you converations! What is great is the food come fresh, fast, inexpensive and always good. In fact the fried calamari salad rivals the one we had at Asia de Cuba that is almost 3 times the price! The seabas is a steal for the price and is moist and delicious. The soups are great and large enough for one to have as a meal. Don't forget to leave room for the fried banana's with ice cream and chocolate sauce - yum!
Nice decor but average food

It's a tiny restaurant with very Asian decor but the food was just average. Service was not bad though. It's worth giving it a try when you feel like some Pan Asian food but do not expect too much.
Shockingly Bad Service

Have been here many times, but, now -- never again.
Went for lunch -- the water they gave us tasted horrible. We asked for different water and the waitress returned with a large bottle. When the bill came, they had tacked on $4 for it. I told the waitress that wasn't fair. She went to the "manager" and, with me clearly in earshot, relayed this to him in a way that was clearly meant to highlight how annoying a customer I was. This ticked me off because it takes a lot for me to complain, and a restaurant should always have decent water! The "manager" comes over and tells me he can't take off the charge because he can't tell if their water is actually bad because he himself only drinks bottled water.
It is rare to find service this bad in L.A.
Fun food

We had a good time here the other night. The food was pretty good and the server very funny. It's REALLY loud in here so the whole Zen idea was lost on me but overall we had a good time. There were quite a few vegetarian options and the sake menu was a welcome addition. The tables are way too close together - especially the two-tops. We felt like we were eating with the people on either side of us. I second the banana dessert recommendation. Valet was accessible and quick.
- Pros: Food was good, Vegetarian options, Quick and easy valet
- Cons: , Tables too close
Delicious!!

Fantastic food - sushi, noodles, soup! I especially like the Mongolian Beef, and the dessert with the bananas! A GREAT PLACE TO EAT! Get there early though, it is small and there is often a wait to get in.
- Pros: Food, Price, Service
- Cons: Wait to be seated
HEALTHY AND HIP

Interesting menu, excellent service, perfect for lunch or dinner on a weekend. The bad side-they don't take reservations, the wait may be a drag, forget about trying to park yourself, you must valet for a great experience all around. You you go Zen you never stop going!
- Pros: ambiance, service, food
- Cons: parking, no reservations
