Best Biscuits in Los Angeles
by WolfManJohnny at Citysearch
Quaint location and fun neighborhood crowd watching. Deliciously tasty food
- Pros: Seriously for real, the most delicious biscuits
- Cons: No Ambiance
Cozy sidewalk cafe for breakfast, lunch and famous buttermilk biscuits.
by Contributor at Citysearch
In Short
This popular Third Street cafe buzzes with an animated neighborhood crowd seeking its famous buttermilk biscuits and deluxe salads. Young guys in black turtlenecks rub elbows with boho-chic chicks, older couples in cashmere sun on the sidewalk and local families with kids. Plate glass windows bring in the street scene, with two intimate rooms surrounded by blond wood, sagey earth tones and lazy jazz. The breakfast menu is expansive--specialty omelets are made variously with Merguez sausage, lox, and crab cakes--while other egg dishes include the Scottish benedict and eggs Bechamel. Salads range from warm spinach, avocado, orange and asparagus, fresh mozzarella and artichoke, and roasted tenderloin while sandwiches run the gamut from grilled ham and gruyere to BLT and burgers.
The BEST salad selection in town ... and bisquits, too!

Everytime I have a taste for a good salad, I automatically think of Quality. I met with some friends there, and have been hooked ever since. Now, every time I'm in the area, I stop in for either a salad or a delicious bisquit. Did I say delicious??? I mean, THE YUMMIEST!!! I highly recommend the Warm Spinach Salad, add shrimp or chicken. It's substantial, healthy and delicious! Happy eatings!
- Pros: Salads & bisquits to die for!
- Cons: street parking, only, but well worth it!
Yummy Food & Delicious Biscuits
by leeannebama at Citysearch
I have eaten at Quality a few times and the food has always been good. I have had the burger and this time I had the chicken and turkey sausage omeltte and it was so good along with a side of the potatoes and the most amazing biscuit.
- Pros: Food, Quality, Friendly
- Cons: Parking
Meh. Expensive and bland.
by cbulow at Citysearch
We had the breakfast wrap and grilled chicken pesto sandwich, both of which were very bland. The chicken pesto had no trace of pesto taste to it and the chicken and clumps of mozzarella wouldn't stay in the bread no matter how hard I tried. The french fries seemed like they came out of a frozen bag. The breakfast burrito had very little cheese in it and the potatoes that came with it were bland as well.
The service was slow and we waited for our check for 20 minutes before anyone noticed and then they dropped it at the table with an attitude. Prices were way to high for what we had. Pineapple juice was $4.50! They had a plate with a bagel, cream cheese, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce for $7.50! I wouldn't recommend this place.
- Pros: Fresh
- Cons: Bland food, poor service, overpriced, hard to park
I'm full

Wow... another reviewer wasn't kidding about their biscuits: amazing! The only way to describe it is... I think this biscuit was a donut in a former life. A touch of sweetness, so moist, YUM! Also, I am a waffle/French toast girl, not so much of a pancake girl, but I had a pancake and it was probably the best pancake I've ever had. No lie. Also very friendly and accommodating service.
- Pros: great service, good coffee
- Cons: a little pricey
Boo

On my very first visit i had the buffalo mozzarella and artichoke salad which literally came with TWO small slices of mozzarella for this huge salad. The salad was very bland, below average, overall not good. I wasted 12 bucks on a huge salad with nothing but lettuce and boring flavor. I'm willing to give it another chance though and try something else on the menu next time.
- Pros: clean space, simple menu items
- Cons: the bland and pricey buffalo mozzarella salad
Better than moms cooking...

This is a classic example of relaxed, California chic dining...
The food is always awesome and in large portions...and the price is still low (well low for LA anyway!) I always thought my moms cooking was the best, but...well sorry mom! Quality Rocks!
- Pros: good food, good prices
- Cons: wait for a table
Best. Biscuits. Ever.

We go to Quality almost every weekend. If you don't like to wait for a table, get there early. The best thing on the menu, hands down, is the biscuit. It's big, it's steaming hot, and it's the tastiest biscuit I think I've ever had. I highly recommend you try it!
All-Around GREAT - Great Vibe, Service, and Food!
by lissomelily at Citysearch
This breakfast spot is one of the best-kept secrets in LA. The consistently delicious food, laid-back vibe, and friendly staff make it my favorite. It's dog-friendly, too. In fact, the waitstaff are always ready with a piece of bacon for our pug! Try the corned beef hash and poached eggs. You won't be disappointed!
- Pros: Moderately Priced, Great Service
