i love raya, i have only been there twice so far, both times i had the european facial. indeed it comes very close to a european facial, if not even better...the spa itself is very modern, ultra clean and i think it's better than bliss spa for half the price. ask for jennifer, she does an amazing job, she is very precise and really really nice.
Pros: facials
Cons: more english please, less russian in front of customers

I was very impressed with the facility and services. The building and service areas are clean, contemporary (yet warm), and very "SPA". I had the most professional European facial in years followed by a cascading water massage body treatment that was a good value and worth every penny (great Mothers Day Gift). Open Sundays too. Highly Recommended.
Pros: Impressive place, affordable, great creative services

I went to Raya last week, and got a facial and a massage. The facility is clean, the atmosphere is calming and the staff is very professional. It truly had the spa feeling. The girl who gave my facial (Dianne or Dianna?) was very friendly and made me comfortable (although the scars from the extractions are still on my face a week later). The massage was probably the worst I have ever had. I am not a masseus, but have had enough massages to know that THAT was NOT a Swedish massage. It was basically someone rubbing lotion on my back for about an hour. I kept asking her to please focus on my problem areas and please press a little harder, but she had an agenda of her own. Afterwards she rushed out of the room before I could get her name. I left feeling that I needed a massage. In the waiting room I spoke with another girl who had the exact same experience an hour before me, and we wondered if we had the same masseus, or if everyone at Raya gives their massages that way. This person should be sent back to massage school- she shouldn't pretend to be a professional masseus.

I had no idea what to expect when I made my appointment. I had looked into some other spa's on the internet but all of them seemed a little to costly and commercial. When I walked in to the Spa it was intimate and personal. The atmosphere from the door was relaxing and inviting. The service that I received was very good. The women were very polite, personable, kind, and made sure that I was comfortable. I would go there again and would recommend it for anyone who wants quality service for a reasonable price.
Pros: GREAT FACIALS, SERVICE
Cons: NONE

I went for a relaxing facial.. what i got was the NOT the most relaxing experience. Not only did it start 15 minutes late (so i was waiting a total of 30 minutes because they tell you to get there 15 min early), but it didn't include any of the services that any other place give you i.e: a mini massage while masks are cooling. Also, i felt as though they just wanted to sell me products. The whole time the person giving me a facial was talking to me and telling me about things i need to do to have better skin. It was not a relaxing experience at all.

I had a $67 facial today that was wonderful. If I hadn't read all the reviews I wouldn't have believed it possible in L.A.. I added on the spa service, which made it $85, but they were running a special so it was $75. The spa in general is modern and tastefully done with lots of stone, tile and contemporary amenities. The receptionist was very polite and kind. The steam room was very enjoyable. My facialist Suzanne was wonderful. She had the perfect touch, played calming music, quietly explained to me each thing that she was doing and asked me multiple times if I was comfortable. I felt completely taken care of and pampered. And to my surprise, she didn't push any products on me either. It was a wonderful experience and absolutely worth the money. I'm grateful that I've finally found a wonderful spa in L.A. that I will definitely return to and tell my friends about. I only wish I'd booked a massage too!
Pros: Wonderful Facial, Affordable, Modern Spa w/ Contemporary Amenities, Parking in Rear

I think this was one of the best facials for the money out there. I think my facialist took about 90 minutes and it was only about $100. It was so relaxing and innovative! My skin also looks phenomenal. Koni seemed very experienced and made suggestions for processes based on my skin type. Highly recommend!
Pros: value!!!
Cons: wish there was a better seating area while waiting for treatment.

Ijust left Raya Spa 20 minutes ago and wanted to review before I got tied up. I am an exec for Travel and Leisure Magazine and therefore travel for a living. Visiting Spas and destination resorts is often part of a days work (Its not a bad gig, I know). I loved Raya Spa, and will actually mention it in an article. Clean, classy, professional, and affordable. I tried just to enjoy the day, as it was a Valentine's day gift , and not to analyze everything to exhaustion (though, impossible for me). I thinks its the best value in town and has very impressive details (luxury equipment, plasma TV’s, lots of staff to assist, supplies replenished immediately, inviting aura, soothing color palate). I would recommend on site lunch (although there is a sushi bar just a shop over , and Earth Cafe is down the street). They have a roof deck with a relaxing vista, I would love to see them offer services or lunch there (just an idea). I visited as a regular client and recommend this spot wholeheartedly.
Pros: Clean, Classy, Professional, Affordable
Cons: none

I was excited to visit a spa with a variety of services and treatments but what I found was poor service. I go to a spa for the treatments but more importantly the service. I would not recommend this spa but you don't care about customer service.
Pros: variety of services
Cons: No parking

I have been looking for someone who does a good job waxing . It was my first brazilian since moving here from another city, and I was thrilled with the results, the price, and the excellent service. The salon is upscale but extremely affordable and people are very friendly.
Pros: wonderful service
Cons: none
