Stay away Sonya Dakkar is a crazy scam artist. You will end up spending thousands of dollars for nothing. I recomend going somewhere less expensive but worth the money.

Please please warn everyone that you know about this woman. Do not believe only me but search sites like this and yelp for first hand reviews of her "service". She will lure you in and then convince you that you have to spend thousands in order to fix what is wrong with you. If your complexion is good you might find yourself suddenly with some problems that need to be fixed. She has been recently arrested for attempting to bite someone in her spa!! CRAZY!! I dont know what else to say except....please do not give Sonya Dakar any of your money. She will be out of business soon and deserves to be. Dont help her to stick aroundso she can hurt other people.

Pros: The word is finally out that she is a total scammer and con artist.

Cons: She has hurt and stolen from so many people before self-destructing.

WARNING: Sonya is a total HACK., SCAM. Worst spa, worst owner. for any former client, you need to read the TMZ coverage of her BITING the health inspector & getting arrested...not surprising & couldn't have happened to a more deserving person. KARMA. "Sonya Dakar, who says she picks and prods at the faces of such celebs as Fergie, Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow, was arrested after allegedly assaulting and trying to BITE an inspector who was checking out her cosmetology license....The inspector performed a citizen's arrest and summoned the Beverly Hills PD who threw her into the oh-so-glamorous Bev Hills jail on battery charges. She was sprung on $20k bail and is back in court tomorrow for her arraignment."

all sonya dakar cares about is money. her company is a complete scam and relies on family pushed "celebrity " PR to wheel innocent people into spending tons of money for NOTHING. she doesn't even use her whole line of products in her facials (i hear she is very cheap) and the treatments are far from personalized. there is nothing relaxing about her treatments - they are just down right uncomfortable. a facial with microdermabrasion and some lights and a very mild, diluted peel will cost you about 1,000 dollars - FOR ONE FACIAL!!!! go anywhere else in Beverly hills and they will laugh and tell you she is a joke. nobody charges that much for a facial. her awful reputation matches her awful personality. somebody needs to close that place down!!

Cons: AWFUL WASTE OF MONEY SO MUCH SALES PRESSURE 2 HOUR LONG WAIT WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS?

Save your time and your hard earned money.....and go elsewhere. Understand that SONYA Dakar and her evil empire rely on your business. Don't give in. She is rude, hostile and her products are not great. She will attempt to upsell upsell upsell! Her 9 a.m. facials run about 5 hours... I am not kidding. She will not offer tea or a cookie for her delay. Forget about a comp'd facial. As soon as you enter HER empire... you give up all your rights. It is her world and you are a helpless passenger. Don't waste your anger with her.... because she truly does not care about you... only your money. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I believe her reputation is catching up with her... her empire is putting out phone calls(after 5 years) to get lost business back...Save yourselves....your life doesn't have to take 2nd. Consider yourself warned...

Pros: group therapy when conversing with other disgruntled clients

I've been going to Tanya at Sonya Dakar for a few years now, and I must say, she knows what she's doing. My eyebrows have never looked better. She shapes them in a way that works best for your type of face, and it doesn't even hurt that bad. She's extremely nice and very professional as well. She used to work at another salon on Robertson and I followed her to Sonya Dakar because she makes my brows look fabulous! She works a few days a week so call ahead to make an appointment.

Pros: Tanya, relaxing atmosphere

The products are decent. But, Sonya Dakar herself is a pretty nasty person. She charges a fortune for basically nothing. And is a bully. In private her staff told me they don't even use her products. I wanted to leave after being told the $1000 price tag, but Sonya told me she would charge me for the appointment either way. Needless to say I was not a happy camper all the way around. I highly don't recommend.

I had heard many great things about Sonya Dakar and the skin treatment services they offer. After hearing so many great things, I decided to make an appointment and see what all the hype was about. WOW! Everything I heard was so true, if not an understatement. The staff is so friendly and incredibley knowledgable. I have visited Sonya Dakar about 6 times now, and I feel like I have a completely new face. I am so so glad I decided to visit Sonya Dakar!

I have been going to Sonya Dakar's Skin Clinic for almost 2 years now. I have to say that when I first arrived for treatment as Sonya Dakar, my skin was a mess. I had never seen someone about my skin before, let alone gotten a facial. My sessions at Sonya Dakar have done wonders for my skin! I look so much younger and healthier than I ever did before. I love Sonya Dakar and am so glad I found the skin care clinic when I did.

Pros: Friendly, Knowledgable, Saved my Skin

After a mediocre facial from an inexperienced staff member, I had to wait nearly 2 hours for Sonya's consulation. Her consulation was focused on trying to sell me any and every service possible, followed by an extremely rough treatment, insensitive to delicate skin. While she may be qualified & a good sales woman, her harsh handling of my skin and attempts to push her services ensure I will not be a repeat client. If you're going to spend that kind of money, Burke Williams offers much better services and an overall relaxing experience.
