With windows full of western gear, this upscale tack shop stands out from the crowd of business suites that surround it. Inside, the spirit of the Lone Star state emanates from endless rows of ornate cowboy boots and leather goods, as well as cases full of hand-crafted sterling silver accessories.

The Goods
Falconhead's leather goods are hand-crafted in Texas, and the artisans have elevated the cowboy boot to a true art form. Designs for men, women and children run the gamut from brash and rugged to subtle and functional. Exotic hides range from unusual mammal (kangaroo) to reptiles--in one spectacular case, eight albino gator skins fashioned into a pair of boots priced in the five-digit range. The patriotic can don a pair of red, white and blue Old Glory boots. But there's more to western wear than boots, and Falconhead also carries hats, jackets, jewelry, belts, buckles and handbags.
