Over-rated like hell
by goodcyrus
Very over-rated. The food was ok but at those prices. I will take Valentino's food, service and ambience over this place anytime.
don't go rude expensive and food is just OK, look around you
by whynotwriteareview
we have been there twice the 1st time we came late at night as they were about to close so we thought the rudeness was due to the face that they wanted to go home, so we came in again about 6 months later at arond 6pm they were so rude and treated us like crap the waiter ignoring us we had to order from the cooks, they sat us down at the bar ( there were at least 6 tables open) and just made you feel like they are doing you a favor by talking to you. for the price the charge the food is just OK the place is loud, stinky, expensive and not worth it we are not coming back again, and would not recommend this place to anyone we know , this is the worst place to go to, there are so many great places all around with much better food and much better customer service and for much less
- Pros: none, if you like being treated like crap & paying for it :)
- Cons: RUDE RUDE rude, expensive, food is just OK
Worth the wait
by malonzo
Visited this restaurant on a Friday. We were on time for an 830p reservation, but weren't seated until closer to 930p. The host, who I can only assume was the owner because of his warm welcomes whenever a regular would show up, was very nice and apologized more than once for the long wait. We were given glasses of wine to tide us over and it was definitely worth the wait. I had their sea bass special and my fiance had their seafood spaghetti special. Both meals were delicious and very flavorful; definitely recommend both. Our server, Savorani, was a very cool guy; very attentive and super friendly. I will definitely go back to this restaurant again.
- Pros: Free fresh raw veggie appetizer, friendly attentive service
- Cons: Long wait even with a reservation
Why when you can go across the street?
by alon_raphael
Mediocre food, exorbitant prices, Tracey Ullman at the table next to me. If I cared about celeb sighting, this would be the place to do it, but man, why eat there when there are so many other, tastier, options in the area for less money?
Not impressed
by Goomba234
I would agree with the previous review from 5/14/08. It is difficult to have any type of conversation at this place. The tables are too close together and the waiters and busboys were constantly bumping our table and invading our personal space. The waiter was a bit rude like we should be honored to have him serving us. There is obviously a regular crowd here that the staff focuses on and the others patrons are not as important and they let you know it. Too small, cramped, and loud. The food was actually pretty good though. I had the pomodoro spinach and ricotta ravioli and my guest had the rac of lamb. Both dishes were good but the wine was just average. I was not impressed with thier wine by the glass. Also, they don't have a bar to sit at while waiting for your entire party; instead you kind of stand outside in the lobby area of the office building the restaurant is located in and watch other people eat. It's a bit degrading.
food very mediocre. prices too high for the quality of food. seating too close to others. too loud.

I found that the food is very common and not matching the price. The ambiance is cramped and loud. The waiters are overly helpful and have a slightly snobby attitude. If you want a gormet romantic dinner or an eclectic special menu you have chosen the wrong restaurant. It's very loud and hectic not a restaurant to unwind and relax with a glass of wine and dine on wonderful food.
- Pros: service?
- Cons: Flavor, ambience, parking,
great food, and friendly

Food is the bomb!!!!
Softshell crab marinara...the best! The staff is friendly and service is impeccable. Great wine list as well. Not seen a celeb. yet, but who cares...the food is the celeb here!
- Pros: a bit pricey, but worth all of it!!!!!
- Cons: parking
Good service and......nothing more
by d0wn2earth18
This place is a little over-rated and way over-priced. The atmosphere and food here are not worth spending the benjamins. The food was bland and the the restaurant was too loud. Not one of the desserts were good. I'd never go back.
- Pros: service
- Cons: entrees, desserts, and too loud
Toscana is as great as ever!!
by mywolfgang
Don't be influenced by the previous review. The food, ambiance and staff are completely unchanged, although the former chef has gone to Caffe Roma This restaurant was never chef-driven. The service continues to be welcoming; the food fresh and beautifully seasoned. Have never had a bad meal at Toscana. Not inexpensive, but prices seem fair, given the location. Ingredients are of the highest quality. Try a whole fish grilled and then put in the wood-burning oven. Simply wonderful!! Simply lovely staff.. makes you feel like family. Closest thing there is to a Tuscan Trattoria. Love it!!
- Pros: good food, atmosphere and very friendly
- Cons: Noise level
It is not Toscana anymore!!
by azzi123
I used to dine there several times a week: with the new management the place has simply lost all of its charm! I also recently learned that the head Chef has left to open his own restaurant...
No wonder the food is not the same anymore.
And what about those desserts out on the counter all night long:
people can sneeze on it and who knows what else...
I will never go back!
