Classic hot dog stand with fantastic food

by cless8

Just a great old style hot dog stand. The combo is the best item on the menu, a cheeseburger / butterflied hot dog combo. Add chili and cheese and it is perfect! They have all kinds of dogs / burgers. Polish Sausage, Fire dog, etc, etc. Fries and O-Rings are also very good. The only negative is that when it is warm, you have to deal with the pigeons and seagulls that hover over the picninc tables like vultures.

  • Pros: Food is great! Not heavy / greasy like fast food joints
  • Cons: Parking can be tough, annoying pigeons / seagulls

Great

It's great, I'd recommend it! If you've seen Woody Allen's Annie Hall, I believe you see panning shot of the place in the movie. Awesome!

perfect hangover food!

It's all about the Marty's combo with chili and cheese baby! A grilled hot dog on a chili cheese burger? YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! One of the things I love about Marty's is that even though that burger must have a ton of fat and calories you don't feel greasy after. It's not like when you get a burger at Pink's or Carney's and you feel all extra fat after. So even though you are taking in the calories and fat at least you don't feel like it! I try to stay away from Marty's in the heat of summer though....sweaty cooks are just a bit of a turnoff :P I feel bad for them it's got to be sweltering in that little shack! Don't forget fries and an orange b ang while you are there!

  • Pros: yummy burger
  • Cons: parking can be a pain, can get hot standing in line

WOW, simply amazing...

by hybridinc914

Always driving past this crowded hamburger stand, my friend HIGHLY recommended it as being a MUST TRY. I finally stopped there one day and found that he was right on the money. Everything on the menu is delicious, but they're famous for being the "home of the combo burger". This burger is a must try. A hamburger patty, topped with hot dog pieces... truly a party in your mouth!!!
