I've used this company on and off for a dozen years. Recently I brought in a machine to have a internal harddrive installed and they came back with a completely ficticious recommendation for a required repair. I said no, went to pick it up and it was working perfectly without any repair. They, unbelieveably, damaged some pins on a harddrive (which I was able to repair) and accused me of doing it myself... pathetic! These people are Used Car Salesmen.

I bought a used Mac Book Pro from them and it was exactly what I ordered and more. The internal components had been replaced and upgraded. The shell looked brand new.

If I need service it's nice knowing I have a place to go.

  • Pros: Service, Used Pieces
  • Cons: Parking

I have bought all of my Macs from Macenthusiasts ever since they opened their shop. And I have had them deliver and set up all of the equipment. I have used their Macs to write and publish more than a dozen books. They have provided outstanding recommendations on back up systems, color laser printers, external hard drives, etc. and as a result I have never lost any data in spite of crashes. Repairs have been done with the best expertise and professionalism. And they have "bent over backwards" to accommodate my urgent deadlines. They even let me use their own computers in their office to meet a deadline when I had an serious problem. They are by far the best at Mac sales and service in the Los Angeles region.

Have enjoyed working with both ownership and staff for Computer, Printer and Networking Systems, on-site and in the store, for Research, Advice, Purchase, and Installation for close to 20 years now with exceptionaly excellent results every time.

Their hard work, due diligence, and wide knowledge has proven highly valuable to us, which we say with much vigor that the MacEnthusasts Retail Repair and Purchase organization has significantly contributed to our growth and expansion as a company, as well as each of our individual personal knowledge and professional growth.

Architectural Photography is a highly technical, artistic, and competitive venture, so we depend on our Computer Systems to fulfill the requirements of our Clients. The expertise, personal service, dedication to customer satisfaction, and loyalty that MacEnthusiasts provides makes us want tio give them a BIG THANK YOU every time we see them to chat, or conduct business with one another.

The efforts they have demonstrated to highly experienced professionals with difficult challenges to overcome, would be expected by most. However, we have seen time-and-time again, that their verve and vigor to help and keep their customers happy has been just as well applied to the beginner, or company with limited requirements of word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheets found in home offices and many large corporations.

Have had many experiences with a number of other retailers for one reason or another throughout our history. Yet none have been able to compare with the exceptional Services with Good Pricing that MacEnthusiasts have provided.

MacEnthusiasts are THE BEST!!!

TRY THEM !!

You WON'T be disappointed,

  • Pros: Excellent Service, Friendly Staff and Owners, Helpful, Referrals if they don't have it. Want you to have success
  • Cons: Suppklies are limited due to space, but ordering through them is simple, with fast delivery the rule.

Have gone to Mac Enthusiasts for many years now. We have purchased a couple of laptops, numerous external devices like HD's and optical writers, RAM, as well as used them for countless repairs and upgrades. They have expertly fixed both my desktop and Powerbook Macs, even when my problems were involved. Any time a part was defective stlll under warranty, they always dealt with the manufacturer and got it replaced promptly for me. Unfortunately for Mac users, not a lot of smaller shops like this, even in LA. The ability to talk directly to the owner of the store and getting his personal assistance, makes Mac Enthusiasts an unusual place compared to most other computer stores. All they do is handle Macs and are very up to date on being very familiar with all the latest hard and softwares. So if one of our computers has an issue, I can count on it being something they have seen many times before, take care of it and are never learning how to fix it on my Mac.

  • Pros: These guys know their stuff and do their best to be helpful.
  • Cons: None I have come up with in many years of going there.

Forget the Apple store. If you need to buy, repair or rent a Mac, this is the place.

Smart, knowledgeable people, fast turnaround, no come-ons,upsells or pressure.

Honest, professional and fairly-priced.

I've been a customer ever since my first visit 10 years ago.

  • Pros: This store is for people who rely on their Macs, not lookie-loos.
  • Cons: This store is for people who rely on their Macs, not lookie-loos.

I have used these guys for over 10 years and they truly know their stuff. I have had a bunch of macs repaired by them, and rented a computer from them too. They are like my auto repair shop. I wouldn't take my Mac to anyone else.

  • Pros: very knowledgeable, easy parking

I've been a customer of Mac Enthusiasts for many years. Service is consistently great. Repairs are done in a timely manner at reasonable prices. Hey, they know my name! It is so much more pleasant than an Apple Store when you need something fast. No malls and parking hassles and long waits for assistance. Parking is always available and right by their door. I can walk in and be back out the door in a few minutes. I highly recommend these guys if your Mac in on the fritz and you need help. I recently needed a simple video adapter. The Apple Store didn't have it and wasn't even sure what I was talking about but Mac Enthusiasts understood and had it in stock. Even if you're charmed by Apple Store glamor, give yourself a break and try these guys. I highly recommend them.

I have had occassion to buy several computers from Mac Enthusiast. Never had any complaints untill I tried getting something fixed.

I was given a 3 day estimate that turned into 1 1/2 weeks. Each time I would call back when it was to be ready only to get an especially rude guy on the phone (begins with a D I think) telling me that it was not ready and to wait. No apology, just the impression that I was wasting their valuable time.

At the end of it they charged me $50 and said there was nothing wrong with with the computer. The problem was so blantant and visual that there was no way to miss it.

It took me 5 seconds to show them that it was still broken.

Again, no apology, just a shrug. I got my money back and they did not fix the computer.

They are fine if you want to buy a computer from them but I would rather get my repairs done at the mac store and that's saying alot.

  • Pros: Not the Mac Store
  • Cons: attitude

My experience with a Mac repair and the purchase of a new MacBook at MacEnthusiasts was perfect; nice people, no surprises, reasonable price and really good service. I don't understand all of the negative reviews I saw on Citysearch. Disgruntled ex-employee?

  • Pros: The people
  • Cons: Small retail area.

Mac Enthusiasts is a customer service treasure in the computer industry. The techies at the store are knowledgable and helpful with everything from showing me how to use the ichat on my new macbook, to helping me pick out the correct computer and software for my specific needs. They have well-maintained rental computers for when I needed extra RAM and power to run an editing program and they service editors and filmmakers especially well. Thanks for all your help. I don't buy or repair with any other mac dealers.

  • Pros: Service, Knowledge, Rentals, Repair.
  • Cons: None.
