Horrible
by guitarkip at Citysearch
I have no idea why people like this place. The food is soupy and bland. They put canned vegetables on the rice and beans (yeah the little cut up squared ones that i ate when i was 5)
Most Mexican sit down restaurants in LA are just awful and overpriced. Maybe my tastes are more inclined to the tex-mex style restaurants of the mid west and east coast.
- Pros: Nice homemade tortillas
- Cons: bland, pricy.
I don't know

Great Mexican food.

The lines can be long during dinner hours. The food is very good although we have noticed the prices creeping up quite a bit recently. The waitstaff is always attentive and the atmosphere is good with a Mexican family restruant feel. Parking is a hassle, only a few spaces in back and no parking at the restruant next door. You cant always count on the neighborhood streets and parking across the street at BofA is fine if you want to dodge traffic on Centinela.
It is good food and value, the kids love the aquariums.
- Pros: good food and value
- Cons: parking
The Best Mexican food in So Cal.
by Julzyea at Citysearch
It's been years since I have been there but have not forgot those incredible homemade tortilla's and marinated carrots! I had forgotten the name since I haven't been there in about 10 years. I tried finding it today since my hubby and I were in the area, we ended up at another restaurant that was good but not what I was hoping for. If the owner considers more locations I recommend Palmdale! A great area for new restaurants and lots of people. We need a Paco's Taco's out here. Pleeaase!
- Pros: homemade tortilla's, marinated carrots, atmosphere
- Cons: parking
Can't get enough

mmmmmmmm so good. I can't wait to again. I want to eat their salsa and carrots all night long. The food was excellent and atmosphere is cool. I take everyone there who is a visitor to LA. They love it!
- Pros: price is excellent
- Cons: make a reservation! or get there at a decent time before rush hour.
Crowded. Great comfort food. Nice aquariums!

If you would like to have a chile relleno that is little bit different than usual, try this one. It is different in the kind of sauce or stew that is on it.
They have about 5 different kinds of calamari plates. They have excellent queso fundido. They have the best home made fresh tortillas in town. They are family owned and operated. The setting is unique and interesting, particularly if you don't mind being surrounded by many dead animal carcuses that are taxidermied.
Carne esada is great!
Rice is some of the best.
Cripy beef tacos are out of this world!!
Chips are very good.
Margaritas are highly acclaimed, but quite acidic and the price charged for the cadillac version is a bit too pricey.
After you have waited for your turn to take a table, you will get exceptionally speedy service. Food will come very quickly.
- Pros: Warm, cozy, delicious, great service.
- Cons: Long wait; Parking can be difficult.
Tortillas over rated
by wildbillny at Citysearch
For basic mexican, fun atmosphere and value, this can't be beat. But the tortillas everyone raves about are not great. More like indian style paratha than tortillas. To thick, too greasy and too flour/yeasty.
- Pros: Portions, value, fun
- Cons: Average food

You Will Be Asked To Leave!

It was just last friday night, we met a friend for dinner. Wait was maybe 10 minutes, good sign. We had a nice meal, and two pitchers of margaritas. No sooner had we paid the bill and I had just taken my last sip of margarita when the host appeared. He asked if we could leave as there was a line outside.
I have NEVER been asked to leave a restaurant and it's not like we were there for 3 hours not eating or drinking. We were embarrassed and walked out. The embarrassment ofcourse turned to anger. We will never go back.
Good & Bad

Used to eat at all three Paco's Tacos, went to the one on Centinela this past Sat. - My combo plate was as I remembered, my husbands carne asada was not cooked medium and was poor quality meat with no flavor at all. Margarita's were good after they corrected them (no salt means no salt). What bugged us the most was the wait time and the seating of people arriving after us (seemed like they were regulars) Host was very friendly and chatted, he seated 4 parties ahead of us and other people waiting. When you sit for 30 plus minutes - you notice and that's just rude. Don't mind waiting if a restaurant is fair. We won't go back.
- Pros: Overall Good ingredients
- Cons: Parking limited, Uneven Quality of Meals, Wait time for seating
